Dr. Mark Allara has been in practicing family medicine for more than 20 years and is passionate about transforming the healthcare status quo. He attended Yale University and the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, and completed his family medicine residency at Beverly Hospital. He is a member of American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and is an associate professor of family medicine at Tufts Medical School.
How it all started
The idea for AllaraCare began when Dr. Mark Allara started questioning his own relationship to what he saw as a very broken healthcare system:
- The employees at his practice regularly complained about their health benefit (even though they had a plan that was supposedly one of the best)
- As a primary care physician, he was expected to rush through a non-stop calendar of daily visits
- And, finally, "the last straw" occurred when Dr. Allara's wife attempted to fill a routine prescription...

Curt has over 30 years of leadership experience in starting, developing and commercializing technology-based businesses. He’s started and lead businesses from concept to $300M, raised more than $40M in VC and private funding and was nominated for CEO of the year by the New York Stock Exchange in 2007. Through his work as a CEO coach, Curt learned of Dr. Allara's vision of restructuring the future of healthcare. Curt’s interest for getting involved in disruptive companies led him to take the position as CEO of AllaraCare.
Steve WildeVP, Operations
Steve currently leads day-to-day operations at AllaraCare. He joins the team from Healthy Price where he serves as Chief Executive Officer. Steve had previously spent the past decade working in analytics leadership roles for various health insurance and health system organizations. His passion is transparency and fair prices for patients. Steve’s educational background includes a bachelors degree in Economics and MBA from Bentley University.
Courtney Scanlon, MDDirector, Clinical Operations
Courtney is a family medicine physician with a strong passion for disrupting healthcare delivery in ways to empower patients. She joins AllaraCare to lead the clinical operations team in creating a proactive and supportive experience for patients through their healthcare journey. Courtney brings experience from her work at Healthy Price, a platform that provides transparent cost and quality data, so patients and doctors can make informed decisions on medical care.
Diana GiorlandoDirector, Marketing
A marketing professional with over 20 years experience, Diana oversees the development and execution of AllaraCare's strategic marketing and business development initiatives. She brings a passion for visual communication and problem-solving to the AllaraCare team and has helped companies elevate their brand presence across a wide range of industries including healthcare, technology, consumer loyalty programs, higher education, and non-profit.
Ryan WilsonDirector, Sales & Client Services
Ryan leads our sales and client service efforts as we continue to execute on our go-to-market strategy. He has over 15 years of experience in the health insurance and employee benefits fields, through roles in sales and client service at traditional health insurance carriers, as well as on the broker side of the industry. This experience working at and with "big insurance", and his desire to change the status quo in order to better the healthcare experience for all, make Ryan a key member of our leadership team.

Jude FoxProgram Manager
Jude joins AllaraCare in the newly created role of Program Manager, bringing nearly two decades of experience and advocacy in customer success, project management and content development, with a long-held passion for building awareness and education with meaningful impact. In close collaboration with the AllaraCare team, she'll lead our implementation initiatives to truly deliver a best-in-class solution supporting healthcare transparency.
